Job Details:

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care in the operating room
• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel
• Some on-call responsibilities required
• Must have current Texas license or compact state license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required along with prior travel experience
• Ensure supplies and timeliness of cases
• Communicate with families and update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards
• Follow physician orders and hospital policies and procedures
• Contract replacement position for 1 nurse
