Certified Surgical Technologist Job in St Johnsbury, VT

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for day shift work in St Johnsbury, Vermont. This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to bring your surgical expertise to a dynamic operating room environment while enjoying the natural beauty of northeastern Vermont.

Your role will include:

• Assisting surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, and supporting patient positioning
• Preparing operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment
• Supporting perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation, and postoperative preparation
• Participating in on-call coverage and responding to urgent or emergent procedures within required timeframes

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous operating room experience
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures
• Ability to participate in call coverage with reliable response capability
• Reliable personal transportation (public transportation is limited in the area)

Assignment details:

You will start on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. Day shift hours are available. Weekly pay is $1,838. Please note that during your orientation week, with a midweek start, you will be guaranteed 36 hours rather than the full 48-hour weekly contract.
