Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position providing various aerosol, bronchial hygiene and lung inflation therapies
• Must float between NICU, ER, and Adult ICU stepdown units based on acuity and volume
• NICU assignments vary based on acuity - not a NICU-only position
• Required to rotate through adult units including floors, ED, Intensive Care Units, and pediatric unit
• Every other weekend schedule required plus every other holiday
• Potential for mandatory on-call - 2 shifts per month
• May be expected to serve as Team Lead at times
• Required certifications: BLS, CRTT, VA License, ACLS (90-day window to obtain ACLS from start date)
• Preferred certifications: NRP, RRT
• 2 years of experience required; 4 years preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Level II trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Wine colored scrubs required
• Must complete up to 8 hours of non-billable modules within 1 week of signing
• Required skills include airway management, medication administration, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP and nebulizers
• Arterial blood gas draw and analysis, CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management
• Must attend monthly department meetings when working or read meeting minutes and acknowledge understanding
• Must follow department safety and quality initiatives autonomously
