CVOR RN Scrub and Circulate Job in Falls Church, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Fairfax Medical Campus, serving as both scrub nurse and circulating nurse on a team performing complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.

Position Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Duration: 89 days, starting June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,644.16
• On-call requirement: 6–10 shifts over 6 weeks, including approximately 1 weekend per month
• Holiday coverage: 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas)

Core Responsibilities

• Primary role as scrub nurse with circulating duties as assigned
• Handle adult cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redos), aortic aneurysms, aortic and mitral valve replacements (primary and redos), TAVRs, ECMO, and VADs
• Float within scope of practice as departmental need dictates
• Participate in ongoing research protocols
• Demonstrate strong multitasking and critical thinking ability
• Participate in departmental professional activities

Requirements

• Current RN license
• 3–5 years of recent experience as scrub and circulating nurse in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Epic system access required
• Adult surgical experience mandatory; pediatric experience a plus
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary
• Any requested time off must be added at the end of your contract for the full 13 working weeks
