About this role
Join Medstar Washington Hospital Center as an Electrophysiology Technician on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day on days shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) or swing shift (11:00 AM–9:00 PM), with two days of late case coverage weekly. There are no on-call or weekend requirements and no floating between units.
What You'll Do
- Perform and assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies, Head-Up-Tilt tests, cardioversions, and ablation procedures including atrial flutter/fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia ablations
- Support device implantations (Watchman, Aveir, Pacemaker, Defibrillator) and device explants/lead extractions
- Manage an average daily caseload of 18 cases with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring, obtain EKGs, and assist with groin closure devices and peripherals
- Chart in Cerner and GE Cardiolab systems; manage medications via Pyxis
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 2 years of EP Lab clinical experience
- Completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Proficiency with Philips X-Ray, Siemens X-Ray, and GE Micropacer equipment
- Certification: ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES/RCIS
- Inpatient and outpatient EKG experience
Preferred Experience
- 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI)
- GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate or Siemens ultrasound
- Laser lead extraction experience
- Fluoroscopy permit and ARRT certification
- Background in trauma or Children's Hospital settings

Facility-provided scrubs. Weekly pay: $2,872.80. Assignment start: August 3, 2026.
