PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work scheduled shifts of either 3x12-hour or 4x9-hour shifts per week
• Block scheduling available
• One weekend call shift per month required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 14-bed PACU unit
• Work with RN-only staff team
• Utilize Phillips monitors for patient monitoring
• Document using Meditech documentation system
• Minimal floating to other units may be required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required along with previous PACU experience
• Advanced skills required including management of post-operative craniotomies, spine surgeries, thoracotomies, general GI/GU, vascular and bariatric procedures
• Must be proficient in A-line management, chest tube management, and central line management
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dark color scrubs required
