Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Charlotte, NC

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Crisis Response is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. You will work 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), totaling 36 hours per week at $1,969.92 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across pediatric units, including NICU, PICU, pediatric ED, and pediatric floors. Your daily census will be 10–15 patients, with approximately 50–60% NICU and PICU cases. You will float as needed throughout pediatric units and floors, with on-call requirements of 3 shifts per 6-week period.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gases (ABGs), ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) management, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies
• Manage airways, administer medications, provide oxygen therapy, perform suctioning, and conduct pulmonary toileting
• Operate bronchoscopes, nebulizers, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment
• Work with the Epic charting system
• Support neonates, infants, and pediatric patient populations

Required Qualifications

• RRT credential and current North Carolina license
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Neonates and pediatrics experience required
• NICU, PICU, pediatric ED, and pediatric floor experience strongly preferred
• Labor and delivery experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• First-time travelers are welcome

Additional Information

You will receive 30 hours of orientation. Black scrubs are required but not provided. Start date is June 24, 2026, for a 91-day assignment.
