About this role
You'll work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology department at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 112-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, on a 5×8 day shift schedule.
Role Overview
You'll support interventional procedures for an adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 8. Your responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, assisting with angioplasty, aortography, central venous access, EVAR, TEVAR, and hybrid OR cases. You'll work within the Interventional Radiology department and manage PACS systems as part of your daily workflow.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience (first-time travelers are welcome)
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
- Clinical screening process and manager approval required
- Full compliance documentation needed to start on time; non-compliant submissions may result in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation
Schedule Details
- Work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
- 10 days of call per month
- Holiday work required: if 1–2 major holidays fall during your assignment, work all; if 3 or more major holidays fall during your assignment, work 2
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Maximum 7 days RTO (request time off) allowed per contract, finalized at submission
- RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)

- Floating within facility scope of practice as needed
- Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, and PACS
- Scrubs provided by facility
