Emergency Department RN Job in Susanville, CA

Banner Lassen Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekly Pay: $2,446.20
• Facility: Banner Lassen Medical Center, 1800 Spring Ridge Drive

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical directives
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Provide precepting and mentoring to support growth of other staff members

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 pounds frequently
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Required Qualifications

• RN License (California State)
• Minimum one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area, with experience within the past 12 months
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications

Meal Waiver and Elder Abuse Forms must be completed and signed. Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
