Occupational Therapist Job in Cypress, TX

You will work as an Occupational Therapist on the 2nd floor rehabilitation unit in the North Tower at HCA Houston N Cypress. This is a day shift position, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, beginning May 4, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 4–6 patients on the inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Perform skilled occupational therapy procedures and interventions
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in the Meditech EMR system, which transitions to Meditech Expanse on May 14
• Float to other rehabilitation sites when census is low
• Work with patients across various acuity levels requiring rehabilitation services

Requirements

• Valid Texas license as an Occupational Therapist
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current CPR certification
• Documented inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic clinical environment

What to Expect

You will work in a structured rehabilitation setting where your expertise helps patients regain independence and functional abilities. Navy scrubs are required for your dress code. The facility uses standard EMR systems with an upcoming transition, so comfort with electronic documentation is important.

Compensation and Schedule

You will receive $2,044 per week. This is a 5×8 day schedule, meaning five 8-hour shifts per week.
