Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech
Job Details:
• Work a 4x10 schedule Monday through Thursday
• Previous Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Ultrasound Tech experience required
• Fetal Echo Certification required
• Assist the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound processes
• Provide standardization and training to residents regarding ultrasound exams
• Consult with patients and evaluate any contraindications, such as medications, insufficient patient preparation, or the patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure
• Perform ultrasound procedures under general or direct supervision as defined by the procedure and/or physician
• Perform essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations including detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, and fetal wellbeing assessments such as biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, and amniotic fluid assessments
• Provide needle procedure guidance and perform examinations of maternal pelvic anatomy including transvaginal cervical assessment and advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques
• Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician
• Assist the supervising physician with invasive procedures as required
• Analyze sonography findings throughout the course of the examination to ensure a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician
• Recognize situations or abnormalities that require the direct observation of the real-time scan by the radiologist
• Image structures while simultaneously obtaining Doppler signal and recording images and Doppler shift recordings along with patient information for radiologist interpretation
• Advise radiologist and/or referring OB provider of examination results and provide preliminary information regarding diagnostic evaluation of maternal-fetal scans
