CVOR RN Job in Plantation, FL

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 4x10 day shift schedule, working 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, earning $2,628 weekly. Your start date is June 15, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Staff two dedicated OR surgical suites specializing in cardiovascular procedures
• Work in a day shift environment with 2 RNs and 2 Techs per suite, maintaining 2:1 patient ratios
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Ensure sterile technique is maintained and all necessary equipment and medications are available
• Document surgical progress and outcomes using the Meditech system
• Provide quality control and maintain patient safety at all times
• Manage on-call requirements approximately every other day and every other weekend
• Provide lunch relief coverage across vascular, robotics, general, orthopedic, neuro/spine, urology, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery service lines as needed

Procedures and Equipment

You will work with open heart instrumentation and supplies, TEE equipment, and ultrasound technology. Typical procedures include CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker implantation, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, endovascular procedures, and standby support for TVAR and mitral clip procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR setting
• Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures is preferred
