PACU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN in a 40-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 12-week travel assignment running 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Your weekly pay is $1,918.44.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PACU with a standard patient ratio of 1:2
• Float within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II recovery
• Monitor advanced ventilator settings and perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments
• Work on 6-week scheduling cycles with 3 call shifts required per cycle

Unit Support and Resources

• HUC support available 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Four PCTs scheduled daily to assist with lab draws, catheterizations, and patient transport
• Documentation through Cerner system
• Standard PACU equipment throughout the unit

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Advanced ventilator monitoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Pediatric experience

Dress Code

Surgical green or navy scrubs required.
