ED RN Job in El Paso, TX

Join Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with no call requirements.

The Role

You'll provide direct patient care in a 26-bed emergency department with a 4:1 patient ratio. The night shift team includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, 6-7 RNs, and 2 PCTs/Paramedics working together to deliver emergency care.

Responsibilities and Procedures

• Perform IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and Foley catheter insertion
• Assist with lumbar punctures and central line placements
• Administer moderate sedation and cardioversion as needed
• Operate ventilators, EKG machines, and teleneuro monitoring equipment
• Document patient care using the Level 3 EMR system
• Support the team during high-volume periods

Requirements

You must hold current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications. Preferred certifications include STABLE and NRP. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend days during your contract period.

Compensation and Details

You'll earn $1,708.20 weekly for this 91-day assignment beginning May 4, 2026. Please note the facility dress code requires cobalt or royal blue scrubs.
