ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU/CCU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Small 8-bed Critical Care Unit with adult-only patient population (no pediatrics)
• Patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 3:1 depending on staffing and acuity
• Care for patients with diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post heart catheterization
• Required equipment experience: Mindray Datascope monitoring systems
• Documentation system: MedHost
• Must have knowledge of ventilators, drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.), and care of CVC lines
• Procedures performed on unit include bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, placement of chest tubes, and occasional bedside scopes (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement)
• Monitor Tech support available on unit
• May be required to float to other units
• Dress code per facility policy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
