Opportunity:

RN - Peds

Job Details:

• Monday to Friday schedule with call required 6-8 days per month (self-scheduled)
• Minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract required
• 2:1 patient ratio during day shifts
• Must have 2 years of experience preferred with pediatric experience required
• Critical care experience strongly preferred
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
• Must help with coverage in Pre-Op and orient to Preop Holding
• Experience required with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
• Must have experience recovering ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental (adults and pediatrics), GYN, and pediatric ENT procedures
• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines
• Must care for patients of all ages from 8 months old to 100+ years old
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Texas nursing license must be active before start date
• On-site drug screening required
