About this role

You will perform ultrasound examinations and diagnostic imaging procedures as an Ultrasound Technologist with the University of North Carolina Health Care System in Holly Springs, NC. This is a travel position offering 16-hour night shifts for an 89-day assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing ultrasound examinations and capturing high-quality diagnostic images according to established protocols
  • Operating ultrasound equipment to obtain images for diagnostic interpretation by physicians
  • Following standardized procedures for various ultrasound examination types
  • Maintaining accurate and complete patient records and documentation
  • Ensuring ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, functioning correctly, and ready for patient use
  • Collaborating with medical staff including radiologists and clinical teams to support optimal patient care and diagnostic outcomes

As an Allied Health Professional, you will work primarily during night hours, providing critical diagnostic imaging support to the health care system. Your technical skills in ultrasound imaging will be essential to the diagnostic process, and your attention to detail in both image quality and documentation will directly impact patient care decisions.

You will be based at a major academic medical center within the UNC Health Care System, working alongside experienced radiologists and clinical staff. The night shift offers a different rhythm of work with its own rhythm and team dynamics.

This travel assignment is designed for 89 days, giving you the opportunity to contribute to a respected health care system while experiencing the Holly Springs area. You will need to maintain your current Ultrasound Technologist credentials and be prepared to work within the protocols and standards of the UNC Health Care System.
