Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. This is a 119-day travel assignment at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, with a start date of June 22, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,102.40.

Role and Responsibilities

You'll provide care on a 14-bed acute med surg unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Your patient population includes those with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, renal failure, dialysis needs, post-surgical overflow, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH issues, and psychiatric conditions. You'll administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin. You'll work with CPAP and BiPAP equipment during night shifts and use the MEDITECH charting system. A CNA will support you at a 1:12 ratio. You may float to acute care and cardiology units as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of med surg experience
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS preferred

Facility Policies

You must maintain a 75-mile radius from the facility. Dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs or white with Caribbean Blue; nails must be polished only (no artificial or shellac). No bags are allowed at the nurses station; lockers with personal locks are available. A strict attendance policy is in place, with a cancellation policy of 12 hours every 2 weeks. You'll work under a primary care nursing model with emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction. You'll rotate with permanent staff.
