ED RN Job in Oakes, ND

You'll work as a charge nurse in the emergency department at CHI Oakes Hospital, a 20-bed Critical Access Hospital facility. This is a 3x12 night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with an every-third-weekend rotation and holiday participation required. No call or standby duties.

Your Role:

• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a busy ED environment
• Handle triage and complete patient care for 0–10 patients daily with diagnoses including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and routine medical conditions
• Operate respiratory equipment: ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and various oxygen delivery devices
• Perform blood draws (phlebotomy services unavailable in the ED)
• Float to Med/Surg and Outpatient departments as needed
• Manage the MEDITECH charting system

What You'll Need:

• RN degree and valid nursing license
• Charge nurse experience required
• Critical Access Hospital emergency room experience
• First-time travelers with strong CAH ER experience considered
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Confidence in a wide range of skills for a critical access setting
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
