Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied in Saint Louis, MO on a 3x12 night shift schedule. This is a 182-day travel position starting July 20, 2026, offering $2,137.10 weekly pay.

Position Requirements:

• Current RRT certification (BCLS and ACLS required)
• Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• Pending license accepted
• Epic experience required
• Competency in airway management: endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, tracheostomy suctioning, and sputum specimen collection
• Medication administration experience with Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, inhaled medications, Nitric Oxide, and bronchodilators
• Experience with multiple nebulizer types, oxygen therapy including High Flow Nasal Cannula, and ventilator management (BiPAP, CPAP, weaning protocols)
• ABG interpretation skills required

Clinical Duties:

You'll manage adult and geriatric patient populations using primary ventilators (PB840s and PB980) with limited Hamilton ventilator experience. You'll float within the respiratory service line to meet facility needs and maintain competency across multiple therapies and devices.

Assignment Details:

• Every third weekend required
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Wear medium to dark gray scrubs
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr)
