Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work on a 36-bed Medical Trauma unit on Floor 7
• Patient ratios of 1 RN to 6-7 patients when not staffed with LPN teams, or 1 nurse to 5-6 patients when staffed as LPN team model
• Work alongside a team including 1 charge nurse, up to 6 nurses (mix of RNs and LPNs), up to 3 patient care technicians, and 1 unit clerk on day shift
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Operate typical acute care inpatient unit equipment including wound vacs, NG tubes, and chest tubes
• Care for patients undergoing general surgeries such as hernia repair, colon resection, thyroidectomy, and complex wound procedures
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med/Surg hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• Familiarity with pre- and post-operative inpatient care preferred
• Wound care experience preferred
• Experience managing central lines (PICC, port, CVC) preferred
