PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Float RN position rotating between various medical and surgical units including Medical Unit, Laulima (Surgical Acute) Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical Unit 1:6 for days and evenings and 1:8 for nights, Laulima Unit 1:6, and Cardiovascular Unit 1:4
• Unit bed sizes: Medical Unit 77 beds, Laulima Unit 18 beds, Cardiovascular Unit 15 beds
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with up to 10 years preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Active State of Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
• Orientation provided for each unit
• Professional nursing attire and clean scrubs required
