Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4 x 10-hour day shifts
• 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per schedule
• 1-2 call nights per week
• Float to other departments as needed
• 2 or more years of experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required
• Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, titanium rib, robotics highly preferred
• Perform technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
• Prepare patient skin for surgery and maintain aseptic techniques
• Transport patients to and from Operating Room suite and position patients according to surgery type
• Set up Operating Room tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type
• Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to physicians
• Monitor and control surgical environment including traffic control and dress codes
• Demonstrate competency in decontamination, processing, and sterilization procedures
