PICU RN Job in Portland, ME

You'll join Maine Medical Center's Bramhall Campus as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing direct patient care during night shifts. This is a contract coverage position designed to support the unit while two night shift RNs take leave simultaneously.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized pediatric critical care environment where you'll care for acutely ill and injured children. You'll be part of an established team supporting complex patient needs during the night hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitoring vital signs and patient status throughout your shift
• Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation and care plans
• Supporting family-centered care during critical periods

To qualify, you must hold a current RN license in Maine. Night shift experience and PICU background are valuable for this role. You'll work independently but as part of a cohesive unit committed to pediatric critical care excellence.
