Description
Opportunity:
Scrub Tech - Scrub Tech
Job Details:
• Variable day shift schedule on the ortho/neuro/spine unit
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• May be required to float to additional facilities as needed
• On-call responsibilities include 6-8 weeknight call shifts and 1-2 weekend call shifts during the 13-week contract with a 30-minute response time (must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes)
• Weekend shifts for call only
• Holiday rotation required as needed
• Must own a personal vehicle as Uber/Lyft is not acceptable due to on-call responsibilities
• Ortho/Neuro/Spine craniotomy cases required for call; must be strong in total joint procedures
• 21 ORs covering all specialties with an average of 40-60 cases per day
• Responsibilities include setting up operative suites, reviewing case carts for supply availability, scrubbing surgical cases across a variety of specialties, and turning over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Required skills: Orthopedics, Neurology, and Spine; must be comfortable with complex spine, neuro cases, and total joint procedures
• Experience in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI is a bonus but not required
• Must be flexible, have an excellent work ethic, be willing to assist with downtime tasks, and help train new hires
• Scrub colors: any color
• Required certifications: BLS and CST license required (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted); AHA or ARC certifications required
• Minimum 4+ years of operating room experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program required
• High School Diploma required
