MRI Technologist Job in Chesapeake, VA

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Radiology and Cardiology department. This is a travel position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Rotational on-call coverage required
• Weekend rotation with other staff members
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 2, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,332.80

Requirements

• 2+ years of MRI experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT certification
• Virginia or compact state license
• GE equipment experience required

Clinical Focus

You will perform MRI imaging across two available rooms, serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Patient ratios are 2 during day shifts, 2 during night shifts, and 1 on weekends. Your scope includes abdominal, breast, chest, brain, and cervical/lumbar/thoracic imaging, with expertise in gradient echo imaging, diffusion studies (non-brain), perfusion imaging, and multiplanar reconstruction.

Key Skills

• Adult acute care and outpatient imaging
• Face and soft tissue neck imaging
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Image post-processing and PACS systems
• Equipment experience: GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba
