Job Details:

• Minimum 3 years experience in Neuro Intensive Care Unit required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have NIHSS certification in hand to be considered
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - able to work 50% of weekends in contract
• Patient ratios: 1:2-3 (days/nights 1:2, weekends 1:2-3)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Work in neuro critical care unit that also cares for medical, surgical and trauma ICU patients
• Must be comfortable with ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV starts, ventilator management, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training provided
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Indiana/Compact license required in hand or fingerprint application submitted
