Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 4 total weekend shifts per 4-week period required
• Holidays worked based on unit coverage and integrated into permanent staff rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - 2 attempts allowed
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab (pass/fail) covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes - sterile field competency is critical
• Must pass Day 1 orientation exam
• EMR system: Cerner
• Telemetry system: Phillips
• Ventilators: BiPAP, CPAP
• IV/SWAT RN team available
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• Unit: T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical (30 beds)
• Common diagnoses and patient types include post-op transplants (day 1), Whipple procedures, spine, orthopedic joints, and trauma - high volume of transplant and Whipple cases
• Float assignments may include Observation, VMU, T6, T5, 6N, 5N, and other Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• Scrub color: Navy
• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings permitted
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit test
• Must have own personal vehicle
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius - driver's license is source of truth and must be included with submission
