Pharmacy Technician Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in the oncology center IV room. You will work 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Every third weekend and holiday rotation is required. Start date is June 22, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare hazardous drugs and chemotherapy IV compounds in a fast-paced environment
• Compound parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions
• Operate clean room equipment and maintain proper compounding protocols
• Use Pyxis, Abacus/Baxa compounding software, and Repeater pump systems
• Chart in EPIC when required
• May float to other Central Aspirus locations as needed
• No on-call or callback requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of IV room experience minimum
• Hazardous drug and chemotherapy IV compounding experience required
• PTCB or ChT certification
• Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Pharmacy
• Experience with Pyxis and clean room operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Media Fill test certification
• EPIC charting experience
• Knowledge of Simplifi/SoleSource software
• Familiarity with Baxa compounding equipment

Additional Information:

• Weekly pay: $1,420
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Contract eligible for up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
