Med Surg RN Job in Janesville, WI

You will join Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, Wisconsin as a registered nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 25, 2026, with day shifts running 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on a 12-hour schedule.

Role Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physician and hospital policy
• Provide patient and family instruction aligned with care plans
• Document all care activities in compliance with established standards
• Utilize critical thinking to support patient safety and experience; escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in department performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Offer clinical expertise to other units and departments as needed to support patient care continuity
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required; may float to other units as needed

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin nursing license
• CPR/BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Education verification required
• Travel experience preferred
