OR Nurse Job in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a travel position offering 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM, with a 91-day contract starting May 11, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,556.

Requirements:

• Louisiana nursing license or Compact license required at time of application
• Minimum 3 years circulator experience
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NURSYS reports required within 4 weeks of submission
• Manager or Supervisor references (2 required for clearance)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical and religious exemptions available)

Clinical Skills & Specialties:

You will circulate cases across multiple surgical specialties including ophthalmology (adult and pediatric), pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general surgery, and pediatric ENT. You will care for patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Proficiency in EPIC charting, conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring is required.

Position Details:

• 36-hour orientation period
• On-call responsibilities as assigned
• May be assigned to emergency team response during emergency events with expectation to remain on-site
• Two pre-approved time-off requests permitted during contract
