Sterile Processing Technician Job in Chico, CA

Enloe Medical Center in Chico, CA is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 56-week travel assignment. You will work a rotating 5x8 shift schedule and earn $2,101 per week as a W-2 employee of ADEX Healthcare Staffing.

In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment. Your work ensures that all surgical supplies meet stringent infection control standards and are ready for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments using appropriate methods and equipment
• Verify proper functioning of sterilization equipment and document results
• Organize and distribute sterilized instruments and supplies to operating rooms and clinical departments
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and quality assurance records
• Adhere to safety procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials

Required Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification
• Proven experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Current certification with the California Board of Sterile Processing (CBSPD), Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), or equivalent
• W-2 employment status required
