About this role

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Telemetry. You'll work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week, depending on your preference at assignment start.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Manage cardiac and medical surgical patients, including those post-trauma and post-surgical intervention
  • Float on a rotational basis as required by the facility
  • Work with patients presenting medical comorbidities
  • Coordinate care with ancillary departments
  • Perform drug titration as needed for patient management
  • Patient ratios typically range from 1:6 to 1:8 on night shifts (estimates, not guaranteed)

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN license meeting Missouri eligibility criteria
  • Minimum 1 year inpatient telemetry experience
  • Demonstrated competence in drug titration
  • BLS certification from AHA
  • 4 trauma credits (or completion within first two weeks of assignment)
  • NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start date)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS certification from AHA

Work Environment:

  • EPIC EMR system
  • Alaris pumps, telemetry monitoring, and lift equipment
  • Black scrubs required
  • Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; full-week availability required for orientation period
  • Weekend hours as required by facility
  • No on-call requirements

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly pay: $2,102.40

You'll care for patients across all age groups in a fast-paced telemetry environment. Night orientation occurs during the day, so plan to be available that first full week. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your experience in cardiac and medical-surgical nursing.
