Mammography Technologist Job in Leonardtown, MD

MedStar Saint Marys Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026. You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule in a dedicated 2-room mammography department serving approximately 12 patients daily.

About the Role

You will perform a full range of mammography services in an outpatient setting, including 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, and digital mammography. Your responsibilities also include fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy procedures, as well as prone and upright biopsies. You will work with an adult and geriatric patient population in a community hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree (Mammography Technologist)
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience within the last 7 years
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• ARRT M (Mammography) certification
• ARRT R (Radiography) certification
• Maryland Radiographer License
• BLS certification
• Both Radiography and Mammography credentials
• Proficiency with Hologic imaging and biopsy equipment
• Cerner charting system experience
• Outpatient setting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,382

Assignment duration: 91 days
