Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site
• No requested time off permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• 24 orientation hours required
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• GA or Compact nursing license required
