Pediatric Hematology / Oncology RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Hematology / Oncology at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 12-week travel assignment with a start date of November 2, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 shift (days)
• Weekly pay: $2,307
• 89-day assignment

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license
• APHON certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
