Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to other med surg units may be required based on census needs
• 24-hour orientation required
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including higher oxygen demands, dialysis, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
• Step-down from ICU unit with no ventilators or pressor support
• Administer and manage drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring responsibilities included
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drip management and titration, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pre/post hemodialysis management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Special equipment includes peritoneal dialysis
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee nursing license required
