21101 - Travel: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Details:

• Work varying shifts including day shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) or evening shift (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM)
• Full-time position with multiple shift options available
• Prefer minimum of 3 years experience as a generalist
• Experience with Sysmex, Abbott Alinity and EPIC systems preferred
• Perform all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and testing
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed
• Follow quality control procedures and calculate, enter, and verify laboratory results
• Utilize Laboratory Information System for data management
• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric volumes when required
• Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science required
• Must possess certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• One year of approved clinical laboratory experience required including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids
