ED Registered Nurse Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health – The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Greensboro, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,047.68.

Schedule & Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Two weekend shifts or four weekend days per six-week period
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed; no study materials provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI, PALS, TNCC certifications
• Previous Charge RN experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience
• First-time travelers welcome

Clinical Environment

You will work in a 63-room emergency department that sees approximately 180 visits per day, with a typical patient ratio of 4–5 patients. The adult ED is separate from a dedicated pediatric unit. You will manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP support, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, IV starts and maintenance, and triage.

Support & Resources

Interdisciplinary teams are available including IV specialists, respiratory services (24/7 in-department support for BiPAP and arterial blood gas draws), phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.
