RN - Pediatrics CVICU

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Must have Level 1 experience and pediatric CVICU experience
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of pediatric patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff appropriately
• One year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (AHA) and PALS (AHA)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and families
