NICU RN Job in Austin, TX

You will join North Austin Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in a Level 3-4 NICU for a 13-week seasonal contract. This is a night shift position running 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week with no on-call requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 97-bed NICU unit with a patient ratio of 3 to 4 patients per RN
• Operate specialized equipment including Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, and GE monitors
• Document patient care in CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Work alongside primarily RN staff and one unit clerk per shift

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

This contract runs for 91 days, beginning July 13, 2026. You will earn $2,102.40 per week. Dress code requires navy scrubs; nail polish and artificial nails are not permitted.
