ICU RN Job in Hastings, NE

Mary Lanning Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 10-bed Intensive Care Unit in Hastings, Nebraska. You will provide direct patient care in a private-room setting, working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a 3x12 schedule.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, occasionally 1:3 for low-acuity patients
• Titrate drips including insulin, levophed, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, TPA, heparin, amiodarone, lasix, and sedation drips
• Maintain ventilators, arterial lines, PICC lines, ports, chest tubes, drains, wounds, ostomies, OG/NG tubes, and identify arrhythmias
• Care for patients with DKA, CHF, MVA, CVA, sepsis, overdose, and general medical conditions
• Float to our PCU and occasionally Med-Surg units with full patient assignments (1:5–6 on Med-Surg)
• Use EPIC charting system
• No call or standby requirements

Schedule:

• Work every third weekend with flexibility based on unit need
• Work every third holiday, including winter holidays

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience with ventilator experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Reside within 50-mile radius of Hastings

Onboarding:

• Complete 2 days of department nursing orientation plus 1 floor shift

Dress Code:

• Solid color scrubs with no designs; natural hair colors required

This is an 91-day assignment with a weekly pay rate of $2,233.80. Start date is June 22, 2026.
