Registered Nurse - Operating Room @ Gila Regional Medical Center Crisis Response

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Schedule includes 1-2 days per week and every few weekends
• 2.5+ years of OR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• New Mexico nursing license or Compact license required
• Scrub color: Royal blue for RNs
• Charting system: Meditech experience required
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• On-call requirement: 6 shifts, must arrive within 30 minutes when called
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days
• Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Surgery cases include: General, orthopedic, orthopedic/total joints, endoscopic/laparoscopic, GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry
• Equipment experience required: Bovie, Harmonic Scalpel, Gyrus, Fluid management system GYN, Stryker Towers
• Skills required: Scrub and aseptic technique
• Skills preferred: Sterilization, case cart, crash cart, first assisting, scope/probe reprocessing
• Smoke/nicotine free campus
• Keep time off requests to minimum, expect to work some holidays
• Floating may be required in rotation with client staff
