ICU Registered Nurse Job in Bristol, TN

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 38-bed ICU serving adult patients at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 12, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12-hour day shifts
• 36/36 schedule with 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
• No call required
• Weekly pay: $2,203.20

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care with a 2:1 ICU patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends. You may float to the PCU (1:5 ratio) or Medical/Surgical unit (1:7 ratio) as needed. You will manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP equipment, blood products, ventilated patients, central lines, continuous IV sedation, and CVA/acute stroke cases. You will interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, manage PICC lines, administer procedural sedation, titrate vasoactive drips, and oversee ventilator management. The unit is equipped with balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, temporary pacemakers, external ventricular drains, and CRRT capability.

Required Qualifications

• RN degree
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Support and Resources

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. You will actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside your clinical care responsibilities. You will receive 12 hours of orientation.
