Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Kerrville, TX

You will deliver rehabilitative and skilled therapeutic interventions to patients in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This is a 91-day assignment beginning June 29, 2026, with flexible scheduling across five 8-hour shifts per week on days.

What you will do:

• Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to support patient rehabilitation goals
• Assist patients with ambulation and safe use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess and document patient progress, communicating regularly with your supervising Physical Therapist
• Maintain accurate records of treatment minutes and all clinically required documentation in the electronic system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation planning sessions
• Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and self-care
• Support students under Physical Therapist guidance as needed
• Complete all required facility and company trainings and in-service programs

What you bring:

• Current, active PTA license in Texas
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and current APTA and State practice standards
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Schedule and compensation:

No on-call responsibilities. No weekend work required. Weekly pay is $1,641.60. You will work flexible 5x8 scheduling during day shifts for 91 days.
