Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 10-bed acute rehabilitation unit at WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM). Your weekly pay is $2,207.52, with a start date of July 6, 2026.

Your Role

You will care for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, spinal surgery, and amputations. The unit operates at a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. You will manage a range of equipment including CPAP, BiPap, transfer devices, tracheostomies, nasal cannula, PEG and mickey buttons, and NG tubes. You will collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and neuropsychology team members. The charge nurse carries a patient assignment alongside their administrative duties.

Scheduling and Requirements

• Work rotating weekends (4 weekend days per month) and holidays as assigned
• No self-scheduling; shift requests may be submitted
• Attend team conferences during day shifts
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment; 1 shift for shorter assignments
• May float to other acute floors if your unit is overstaffed

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year experience in inpatient acute care
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Unit Details

You will receive unit-specific orientation and will use the EPIC charting system. Royal blue scrubs are required. This position offers the opportunity to work with a specialized rehabilitation population in a structured team environment.
