Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel assignment lasting 89 days, starting November 2, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,310.30

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical requirements
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities to implement care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Provide evidence-based care and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Experience must include work in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area

• Bachelor's degree
