About this role
Temple Health – Women and Families Campus in Philadelphia is seeking a registered nurse for its Level 3 NICU. This is a 90-day travel assignment starting September 28, 2026.
Role Overview
You will provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care in a 41-bed unit with single, double, and triple rooms. Your primary responsibility is caring for sick neonates across all aspects of NICU cases except surgical and cardiac interventions. You will work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, with the possibility of tripling in low-acuity cases.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor conventional ventilators, high-frequency jet ventilators, high-frequency oscillators, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide therapy
- Manage complex neonatal care needs in a Level 3 setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- May float to the Well Baby Nursery as needed
Schedule and Requirements
You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week. Weekend shifts are preferred but not required. Holiday shifts are not required, and there are no on-call obligations. This assignment offers flexibility and work-life balance while allowing you to focus on direct patient care.
Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Previous travel nursing experience is not required
Compensation and Assignment Details
You will earn $2,418 per week. This 90-day assignment provides stability and the opportunity to work in a well-established academic medical center with access to advanced neonatal technology and collaborative clinical culture.
