About this role
You will provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments for pediatric patients in an outpatient setting at Juneau Physical Therapy. This 91-day travel assignment runs 4x10 rotating shifts, with a weekly pay of $2,920.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conduct general physical therapy evaluations and treatments for a wide range of ages and diagnoses
- Perform assessments and evaluations, identify therapy diagnoses, and formulate individualized treatment plans
- Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans based on patient response
- Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations in various settings
- Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and designated staff members
- Document patient encounter findings and treatments according to facility policies
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure appropriate equipment and care plans
- Develop and conduct patient education and therapy programs
- Create clear home exercise programs and ensure patient understanding
- Assist in the acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment
- Maintain supply stocks and clinical equipment at acceptable levels
Required qualifications:
- Active Alaska physical therapy license at time of submission
- Master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation
- Pediatric physical therapy experience required
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current flu vaccination
- Valid driver's license
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility address
You will adhere to regulatory and practice standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association and work collaboratively to deliver quality patient care.
