Echo Technologist - Echo Tech Cardiac Imaging

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Perform cardiac sonography including producing images of heart muscle and functioning using ultrasound equipment
• Set up, operate, and adjust ultrasound equipment and record cardiac data and measurements
• Identify cardiac anatomy according to patient age, cardiac anomalies, heart disease, and pertinent clinical information and communicate findings to the cardiologist
• Assist the cardiologist with patient exams and identify any changes in patient clinical circumstances that may alter exam protocol
• Perform computer analysis and make quantitative calculations of echo data
• Review echocardiograms for quality, completeness, and cardiologist preference
• Assist with transesophageal cardiograms, dobutamine stress tests, and other procedures as needed
• Collect and review all required clinical information prior to performing exams and communicate to physician and co-workers
• Ensure written physician orders are received prior to exam performance and review charts to confirm proper exams are performed
• Provide patient education appropriate to procedure and within scope of responsibility
• North Dakota sonographer license required (temporary ND license accepted prior to start)
• Required certifications: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI, BLS (AHA)
